Chopin is my favourite composer. From all his works, I Iove his nocturnes the most. It fits my nostalgic, melancholic mood perfectly, and calms and relaxes me. Thank you, Frederyk.

Hmm , well i get the ads and i find it very distracting, considering that it's royalty free music , i find it almost insulting. In fact come to think of it , It's pathetic , greedy and indica itive of todays greedy society. I am a musician. Few years ago I was busking in a Polish town, playing instrumental guitar, a sad tune of mine. When I finished the piece, a guy approached me and we smoked a cigarette. He told me "While you were playing, I felt that what happened to me, happened to you as well, I heard it in the music". And that is also what I feel, when I listen to Chopin.

I’ve never really liked classical. It’s usually to repetitive sounding but Chopin is wonderful. I don’t know why I like him so much but it’s beautiful.

There are some composers and some works of music that transcend all explanation for how and why they speak to you the way they do, and for me, Chopin and his Nocturnes fulfill this and then some. I have come back time and again to listen to this collection of works; haunting yet calm, sad yet hopeful, soft yet so powerful. His music puts me in a state of being that I cannot describe, only try to understand. I hope that those of you who listen to him are able to pull such strong meaning from these works the way that I have. Sometimes, music can speak a million words without a single lyric or voice.

Chaplin's interpretation is serene and emotionally direct. He has very good taste--not that common in the performance of these pieces.

When my brother died, he left these Nocturnes of Chopin in some old cassettes. I remember listening to them over the days preceding and following his funeral. Funny how these things linger in your mind and heart.
